What’s Near AP17 Bernini Apartment
The Bernini Apartment is located in the historic center of Rome, just steps away from the “Barberini” metro stop (Line A), which is just 2 stops from Termini Station. Additionally, many buses stop in the piazza to visit nearly every corner of the city.
Via Veneto, the veritable heart of Rome’s Dolce Vita starts at Piazza Barberini. The street is one of the most famous addresses in the city of Rome for glamorous hotels and restaurants, and leads directly to one of the entrances to Villa Borghese Park and Galleria Borghese, the museum that houses part of the family’s private collection.
Via Tritone, another main artery off of Piazza Barberini is a main street with many shopping options, including the recently opened Rinascente department store. Other than the international boutiques, the top floor hosts several restaurants and bars including a rooftop bar that’s perfect for an afternoon aperitivo. The basement highlights some of the ruins discovered during the renovation of the palazzo, parts of the ancient aquaducts from 19 B.C. Enjoy the exhibition with a coffee from the bar located adjacent.
If you’re looking for fabulous Baroque architecture, look no further than down the street at San Carlo alle Quattro Fontane, an unassuming church facade an interior designed by the great Baroque architect, Francesco Borromini. Admire the amount of detail and decoration packed in the small, oval-shaped space with stunning ceiling. Continuing down the street a bit opens up onto the large piazza where the Quirinale (basically Italy’s White House) is located. The center of the piazza features one of the 13 ancient obelisks of Rome as well as sweeping views of the city and St. Peter’s Dome.
The home is the perfect location for a ChefatHome experience – the most booked service by guests offered exclusively by ROMAC.
