Rome’s Jewish Neighborhood welcomes Margana I & II Apartments
20 July 2017

One of the most suggestive, characteristic, and historical areas of Rome – the Jewish Neighborhood – welcomes two new fabulous vacation apartments by ROMAC.

The Jewish neighborhood is known for many things: the city’s largest Jewish Synagogue and museum; the narrow streets and intimate piazzas; and myriad kosher restaurants, bakeries and grocery stores. The Jewish community in Rome has a long, twisted history dating back as far as the 2nd century B.C. The resilience of Jewish-Roman culture makes this small quarter of Rome, tucked between Piazza Venezia and the Tiber, an incredible location for home base during your stay in the Eternal City.

A private terrace in Rome’s historic center, let alone the Jewish neighborhood, is a rare luxury. Margana I’s spacious private terrace offers ample outdoor seating with a table and umbrella, and even an ancient Travertine fountain for a unique focal point. The rest of the apartment is a tribute to the characteristic, ancient architecture of the historic center: wooden beam ceilings and compartmentalized spaces on different levels. The apartment comfortably hosts 11 guests in 4 bedrooms and 3 baths on 2 floors (a main floor and a small loft). We recently finished an extensive renovation of the whole property. New 25cm (10in) mattresses paired with both memory foam and feather pillows guarantee a good night sleep. While the modern, timeless design provides a comfortable, tranquil respite after a long day exploring the city.

Modern conveniences in the apartment include air conditioning and independent underfloor heating, TVs with cable and satellite in every bedroom and the living room, a washing machine, dishwasher, and complimentary wifi access.
