A Spa Day in Rome: Our 5 Favorite Spa Experiences
15 February 2018

There’s nothing quite like a spa day to break up the sight-seeing on a vacation.

Escaping from the chaos of the city streets, the honking cars, and the groups of people into a quite oasis of calming lights, soothing water sounds, and herbal tea. What could be better?

Below we list 5 of our favorite spa experiences in Rome, from a traditional Hammam to nearby thermal baths, a day spa and a hotel spa – and finally, something especially interesting – your own private spa in the comfort of your vacation rental!

1. Aqua Madre

Step into an ancient space tucked away in the Jewish Ghetto, just around the corner from Piazza Mattei and its famous Turtle Fountain. The Aqua Madre spa functions as a traditional Hammam offering various environments with water of different temperatures and a separate steam room. Included with the Hammam packages is a 15 minute natural scrub performed by one of the staff in the main, shared space. (On Wednesdays and Fridays from 11am – 9pm the Hammam is reserved for women only).

In addition to the Hammam several treatment rooms surround a peaceful glass-roofed relaxation room where you can relax with a cup of hot tea or cool fruit-infused water and lounge before and after your massage or treatments.
