If you’ll be in Rome for Halloween don’t forget your costume! We’ve answered a few of your questions to enjoy the spookiest day of the year in the Eternal City!

Where will you be on October 1, 2014?

Where can I buy a Halloween costume and supplies in Rome?

Studio 13 in Piazza Cavour is one of the staple locations supplying Romans and tourists with Halloween costumes. And if you’re staying at our Altemps or Campo Marzio apartments, you’re just a quick 10 minute walk away! The week leading up to Halloween you can also find small temporary stores with Halloween costumes and accessories.

See you at Circolo degli Artisti?

Are there any Halloween parties for adults in Rome?

Of course! Many of the expat spots, like the Abbey Theatre on Via del Governo Vecchio 51 (down the street from our Borromini and Navona apartments), Fiddler’s Elbow on Via dell’Olmata 43, and Scholars Lounge on Via del Plebiscito 101/b, have adult parties where you’re encouraged to dress up.

Another fun option in the Piramide neighborhood at Rome’s Comedy Club at Skené Risto-Teatro. There’ll be a few guest comedians joining the residents, and it’s a show where you can come in full costume. We suggest booking in advance, and doors open at 8:30pm. If you’re staying at our San Saba, Piramide, or Testaccio apartments, you can leave your house at 8:20 to get there on time!

Finally for just a frightful night of fun, check out the more traditional club events taking place at some of our favorite spots such as Circolo degli Artisti, Room 26, and La Cabala. For those Americans seeking some consolation for the night, the Hard Rock Café on Via Veneto 62 and the Perfect Bun at Largo del Teatro Valle, 4 are also getting into the Halloween spirit.

Finnegan’s is great any day of the year…but even better on Halloween!

Are there any Halloween events for kids in Rome?

There sure are! Finnegan’s on Via Leonina 66 is holding its annual kids’ Halloween party starting at 6pm. After you tuck the little ones in bed, get a ‘sitter and come on back for some adult fun for the rest of the night! (Or if you’re staying at our Boschetto, Cavour, Fori Imperiali, or Colosseo apartment, you can just sneak away for a few minutes – the place is practically just downstairs!)

Halloween may not be one of the most celebrated holidays in Rome, but it sure can be one of the most fun! Happy Halloween from all of us at ROMAC!
