Officially Inaugurated, the Costaguti Experience Celebrates
8 December 2017

The chilly Roman day transitioned into an even chillier December evening but at the Costaguti Experience in Piazza Mattei the atmosphere was warm. After nearly a year of renovations and a quiet soft opening, ROMAC staff behind the Costaguti Experience finally celebrated the luxury accommodation’s official inauguration.

Guests included international journalists, influencers and bloggers, long-time partners of ROMAC, family and friends all to get a first look at the noble residence. Each of the 5 bedrooms and 6 baths was meticulously prepared as they would be upon any guest arrival; crisp white linens topped with fluffy pillows, sparkling water glasses, immaculate marble surfaces, and perfectly placed Ortigia bath amenities. Spotify provided soft background tracks in the living room and one of the king bedrooms from the BOSE Soundbar and 65″ Samsung Smart TVs, while “Stranger Things” on Netflix looped in the second king bedroom setup as a family suite.

Guests enjoyed an evening of light refreshment and the opportunity to speak with everyone who participated in making the Costaguti Experience a reality. ROMAC founders Antonio Zanca and Cristiano Mirandola greeted guests at the door, welcoming them into the first of several luxury projects slated to open in the next year. With 16 years of experience managing vacation rentals in the center of Rome and after welcoming hundreds of thousands of international visitors to Rome with their passionate team, the duo are excited for the next chapter. “We are delighted to celebrate the opening of the Costaguti Experience,” said Zanca. “The property creatively captures the culturally rich spirit and uniqueness of Rome, and we’re looking forward to welcoming guests to this one-of-a-kind luxury residence.”

ROMAC General Manager Rubina Ronci led individual tours of the home, along with other ROMAC staffers from the booking office Daniela DegerRoberta Marini. It’s not just the 300sqm (3,200 sq ft) of home that makes the tour take longer but the time spent admiring the incredible ceiling frescoes and architectural details. Guests admired the work of Federico and Taddeo Zuccari’s 16th century work in the living room (also known as the Hall of the Months and Virtues), a remarkable 17th century work by Cavalier d’Arpino (Giuseppe Cesari) in the billiard room, and even an unassuming Poussin tucked away under the mezzanine.

The home's bath amenities are by Ortigia, so it was only fitting that the guests left with some "Ambra Nera" of their own.

Sarah Lollini and Mena Venditti, the interior designers behind the project chatted with guests and provided insight into the home’s plush interiors and commissioned art collection. “We supervised the realization of all the modern art works in the home,” says Lollini. “We worked closely with young student artists on their execution, but the concept and subject behind each piece is ours.” Follow more of her work, process, and inspiration on her Instagram account.
