Despite the fact that this year it is just on its fifth edition, the music festival Rock in Roma has already become one of the most important appointments, or the most important, in the national and international scene.

Rock in Rome – the summer festival of Rome

The main element of the festival success is certainly its program, which with more than two months of concerts, gathers in the Capital the most famous Italian and international rock artists.

The company which organizes it, THE BASE S.r.l., is leader in the organization of big events in the centre of Italy and in the national territory and managed to host over the years at the Rock in Rome some among the most famous names of the international music scene, enhancing the fame of the festival even abroad, thanks to a noteworthy rooster: The Chemical Brothers, Jamiroquai, Skunk Anansie, The Killers, Franz Ferdinand, Ben Harper, Korn, 30 Seconds to Mars, Cranberriers are just some of the bands which participated to the event.

The stage of Rock in Rome this year, like the previous ones, is inside the hippodrome Le Capannelle, historical location for another event which is important for Italian rockers: Roma Rock Village.

2014 edition open the 3rd of June with Queens of the Stone Age live performance and will close, unexpectedly with Radiohead, who after the cancellation of the concert the 30th of June, have postponed their presence in Rome on the 22nd of September; previsions say that this year the spectators will be 300.000, that is the sum of the audience which visited the festival in the two previous editions: the key to this success is definitely the incredible line-up that this year comprehends twenty-eight international rock concerts.

The next important guests of the Rock in Rome Festival will be Billy Idol (09 June), Metallica (01 July), The Black Keys (08 July), Placebo (24 July), Franz Ferdinand (02 August).
